Dave
One of the most exciting rappers to emerge from London in years, Streatham-based MC Dave has unveiled the visuals for '71', the closing track from his recent 'Six Paths' EP. Filmed in and around LA in locations such as Venice Beach, the visuals were shot & edited by long-time collaborator LX.
In addition, following Drake's now infamous remix of Dave's 'Wanna Know', Dave has returned the favour, dropping 'Two Birds No Stones', a rework of Drake's 'Two Birds One Stone', with another LX shot visual. You can watch 'Two Birds No Stones'here
At only 18 years of age, Dave (previously known as Santan Dave) is already leaving a lasting mark on the UK hip-hop scene after the independent release of his debut 'Six Paths' EP in September, which saw him debut at #6 on iTunes album chart & #1 on the Hip-Hop chart. Created with production partner 169 alongside Grammy Award winning producer Fraser T Smith (Adele, Kano, Stormzy), the six track EP perfectly showcases the intelligent wordplay and social commentary that Dave has become synonymous for.
The palpable sense of excitement around the young rapper has seen his debut headline show at The Camden Assembly sell out within 10 minutes of going on sale, not to mention earn him famous fans from Stormzy to Drake, with the Canadian artist recently remixing Dave's track 'Wanna Know' for his OVO radio show, and see him included on BBC's illustrious Sound of 2017 poll longlist.
